On this page, you’ll find a wide range of vegetable recipes from Singapore and Malaysia. That doesn’t mean that they are vegetarian or vegan. When they are, I make it a point to highlight that.
Singaporean and Malaysian vegetable dishes are very often not vegetarian for the simple reason that their spice paste or flavour base almost always contains dried shrimp and/or shrimp paste. The same can be said for Thai vegetable recipes, which will inevitably also have fish sauce.
So I’ve taken liberties and have included certain “grey recipes” here too, so you’ll be able to find them!
