This page will contain all the essential and not so essential Singaporean and Malaysian ingredients. And perhaps the odd ingredient specific to Indonesia, like kencur.
I started this site in Jan 2021 - so bear with me as I fill it up with goodies!
Singaporean and Malaysian Ingredients
When I was compiling a list recently of the 5 must-have Singaporean and Malaysian ingredients for the email pop up you see on this site, I did a quick poll with the family. I was a little surprised at the diversity I got. Mine were very South East Asian. But the rest of the family's choices were very varied and included ingredients that are typically south Asian (Indian/Pakistani), Middle Eastern and Chinese.
That just gives you an idea of how varied the ingredients are in these 2 countries. It rather does depend on the ethnic and cultural inclination of the family.
